International Youth Day: Continuing to Nurture New Ambition and Move Forward for Bigger Futures

Throughout history, Filipino food establishments have, and still are heavily shaped by the youth; whether it’s aspiring bakers, café owners, restaurant owners, home-based entrepreneurs, or unique food innovators who transform local flavors into businesses that bring people together.

 This International Youth Day, we celebrate the passion, creativity, and determination of the young generation. Historically, their ideas have contributed to honoring the country’s rich culinary heritage while embracing new trends that keep the Filipino food scene exciting, relevant, and globally competitive.

 PFMC has imbibed in this practice of ambition, innovation, and excellence from businesses through continued community focused initiatives.  Beyond supporting the food industry, PFMC practices its belief of investing in education to create stronger communities and brighter futures for the youth through Uygongco Foundation Inc. (UFI). Through educational assistance, skills training, scholarships, school support, teacher development, and nutrition programs, the foundation helps equip young Filipinos with the knowledge, values, and opportunities they need to pursue their aspirations.
